H7 Halogen Bulb Upgrade

Sorry to be a pain again guys but my h4 has a p21 drl bulb in the h7 the drl now becomes the main beam do I have to change the connector I thought it was just plug and play but their two different bulbs
H7's are plug and play. They have seperate DRL's just like H4. Only thing you might want to do after fitting is change the coding so the dipped beam stays on when you turn on high beam.

Have a look at @Loz post here

yes I get that but the connector is for a p21 bulb whereas a h7 connector is needed
The actual bulb connectors are an integral part of the headlight unit. The headlight units themselves both have the same wiring configuration and plug on both H4 and H7 variants

You just disconnect this from the back of your H4's and plug it into your new H7's

thats great Deaky much appreciated its so helpful having you experienced guys about to help us dumb newbies lol

I know this has been done to death and I've read most posts without a conclusion.
I have a 2016 shuttle with twin h7 headlamps.
I'm getting on a bit and eat lots of carrots but struggle to see well when it's dark with oncoming traffic.
Any Recommendations please ?(not give up driving!)
Thanks

I’d recommend these headlights bulbs that I use….

And these sidelight bulbs….

I have the GT200 as well and am very impressed, even with mine being H4 bulbs.
I’ve always had the ‘upgrade’ offerings from either Philips or Osram and find Philips to have the edge in terms of beam quality and lifespan so just go for their best claimed bulb at the time.
Interestingly when one of the plus150 H7 bulbs blew in the golf I ‘upgraded’ the pair to GT200 bulbs in that too. One of those has now gone after 15 months so I stuck the spare plus150 back in as a quick fix - you cannot tell the difference between the two.
Worth noting the plus 200 claim is 200% above the minimum allowed brightness according to EU rules and not 200% above the competitors best offering or even a decent brand standard offering.

If you were to go to the darkside (is that like a reverse of a pun?) and opt for LED just bare in mind a couple of things - 1) they are not road legal in the UK and 2) there are some shocking quality items that will blind others and still give you a poor beam.
Philips are the best you can get in terms of beam pattern and following adjustments to the headlights after fitting (a must) will be very good, but may ultimately void your insurance so not really a viable contender.

When upgrading the bulbs in the H7 headlights to the below as I have seen in multiple posts, what bulbs do you install within the fog lights as I would like the colour temperature of the fogs to match the running lights?

H7 Philips RacingVision GT200 12V 55W Halogen Bulbs (Pair)
582 7440 Twenty20 Elegance Canbus LED's 12V W21W
The GT200 H7 are pretty much normal halogen colour, so any halogen will match in the fog lights.

The Twenty20 LEDs do not fit in the T6 H7 lights. I tried, and after dislodging one from the holder in the attempt to fit it, I ended up removing the headlight to fish the offending bulb out. They are simply too long a body. I just fitted Osram W21W halogens; no issues, no fault codes.

I fitted mine, but had to remove the lights to do so - I couldn't install them in situ (at least the passenger side, the driver side was already out of the van).

Thanks @CAB
I've still got them, so if/when I need to remove the headlights, I might try to fit them again. IIRC they also fit the reversing lights.
