Yes I have fitted the Philips extreme ultinon and like them lots I also got the canbus thingies but have not fitted them as
apart from the first time I switched them on I have not had the light on the dash since .

Not road legal but no one has flashed me coming the other way yet they are set up on a mot testers rig
but need lifting up a bit , way better than the H7 bulbs

I've just fitted some H7 PIAA 5K 120% improved range jobbies..(recently released)....hopefully these do the job....if not I'll be going LED next

Hello All, I saw some led headlights at a show today sold by, Transporters HQ, I was told they are plug and play and are fully compliant for UK use, they look really good, has anyone used these? I have been reading posts and am getting more confused the more I read about looms and leveling and the legalities involved.
Hope you guys can help.
Kev the confused.

Hello YellowHound, they look nice, just had a look on the travelinlite site, they do warn of a possible warning light on the dash, but that seems easily corrected, do these have what are called sequential indicators? I`m guessing you`ll let us know how you get on any tips will be great as I think I will be swapping mine very soon as the standard lights are really bad.

Thanks for the reply, really appreciate it.

Fitted these yesterday. A fairly easy install though the bumper put up a bit of a fight.
On a quick trip locally they appear to be a huge improvement over the H4s that were on my van.
Unfortunately I do have a dash bulb warning though :(

Thanks for replying Yellowhound, I`m just waiting for them to come back into travelin lite stock and I will be grabbing a set, can`t wait.
Shame about the dash warning light.

Yes, they do warn about it.
I'll have to get the coding changed to stop the headlight monitoring.

I opted for the TransporterHQ H7 headlights, and they work fine without any dash warnings, but I still felt like they could be brighter, so installed some H7 Philips Ultinon Gen2 LED bulbs. I now have the dash warning (which I have learned to ignore) but my biggest issue is that the LED’s seem to dim slightly (by around 10-20%) once i start driving.

I have tried the Philips canbus / anti flicker adaptors, but the issue remains.

Has anyone else encountered something similar?

Thanks

I've got the warning light too but they don't rim, I'm wondering if it will make any difference switching the connectors around as a process of illumination...I think it's not good advertising them and the CANBUS adaptors if they still produce the warning light

I have gen2s arriving today to fit tomorrow into Travellinlite mk1 black headlights so watching with interest.

Well lights are in. Just waiting for dark now. Did everyone else just stuff the control box inside the unit? There was nothing I could zip tie it to.

Also any guesses where the 2 long black t20 screws came from? Seem to have leftovers and I can’t see anything on the thq video

The short ones go on the inside edge of the headlight (behind grille) and the long ones go under the headlight (behind bumper) ??
The only other torx screws you would normally remove doing this job are the ones holding the arch liner in place and the ones under the bumper fixing it to the bottom of the liner/foglight holders, all these screws are standard length 'panel screws' and are not long ?

Did you get the warning light when you turned then on?

So I’ve no idea where the 2 long black screws came from. But everything seems right.

Just been out to test the lights.

Yes I get bulb warning light on dash

Yes I get a slight dimming after a couple of seconds of starting the engine.
