If you are thinking of this, be aware aftermarket HID is now a fail in the MOT.
Yeah more academic interest really, I don’t suppose I’ll actually do anything about my crap lights til it starts getting dark again, and I don’t end up using it much in the winter anyway.

I have the THQ V2 lights with the standard bulbs, they are plenty good enough in my opinion. Given the amount of work to renew a bulb is it worth installing a bulb with a shorter lifespan?

Do you happen to know what setting they disabled?
You just need to tick the box in long coding for dipped headlights, this will turn off bulb monitoring for that particular lamp
It 'should' only turn off the cold check when you turn the ignition on but i have had good results with this lately so good chance it get rid of the dash light ??

Module 09, byte 16, bit 4 - the box needs to be ticked

Is there a way to turn of the bulb out warning light I've got since fitting LED dipped bulbs in my THQ headlights?

The Philips bulbs came with resistors that are supposed to make them Can Bus friendly, but they don't work. I know there are other people on here that have used different bulbs with success, but if I can code it out, it will save buying more bulbs.

Screen shots would be ace, as I'm thick.

I seem to remember that a tick in the box means that it's disabled.

Yeah that’s how it works, it seems backwards but a tick=disabled

Cheers boys. I'll sort that this morning. I never thought to try it as it seemed the wrong way round.

My lamp warning light still comes on since I put my Phillips LEDs in. THQ couldn't solve it so I'm glad yours work ok.

I'd love to get me hands on VCDs and give it a proper look over to see what had been set

I have recently fitted new led head lights from transporter hq. can anyone recommend the best bulbs to fit as the the lights are just as bad as the original.
