Thanks for all that info that’s set mind at ease. Thought I’d give myself agro there. I think moving the air box and battery maybe the option if I ever have to get in there again.
The bulbs were H7 Osram LED bulb which don’t have resistors but the H1’s for full beam from TravelinLite do.
I will check that map for a pin near me or I know there is a place in Leighton buzzard looks good. It’s off to VW for a service Tuesday and was considering asking them. Probably cost an arm and a leg though.
It’s honestly only a 10 minute job from start to finish to do the coding you need so main dealer probably isn’t your best option, but who knows, they may be feeling generous!

Well it now seems I’ve lost the kerb lights if that’s what there called. Fog lights work but now no lights when cornering. Could this be linked to the bulb error light or have I buggered something up just by changing head light bulbs.

I just tried all of the above coding options for my new rear led indicators and no success, constant hyperflash in the dashboard.
Local resistor is the solution for now;)

Anybody in the Gloucestershire (or relative near) that has VCDS that can code out my dash warning?

Please :(

Apologies for yet another LED headlight thread.

I fitted these lights just over a year ago. I'm pleased with the lighting performance over the H4s but have been living with a continuous dashboard bulb warning light.

My question - is coding out the bulb warning in VCDS the only way to 'stop' this or is there another way, maybe by adding resistance?

Has anybody been down this route?

I need to get it sorted as I have my first MoT coming up very shortly.

Thanks.

hi guys, just got T6 rears fitted to my T5.1, and i need to code out the `bulb monitoring` as it comes up when i use brakes, all lights work fine, but for the MOT...
i have also just got myself a vag-com from Ross tech, im in witney, Oxon, so interested to find how to change this option, if its possible?

cheers

John.

Using VCDS go to 09 BCM, long coding and change Byte 19, bit 7 to unticked.

hi Robert, thanks for your replt above, as a complete novice to vcds do you have a guide for me to navigate, or is there a chapter in the enclosed book that will help?
sorry to be such a noob, but i really done want to get it wrong and F^*k anything up...:slow rofl:

Please see below.
This is procedure for different modification but if you follow all initial steps you will be okay.

Hi all

finally got my thq lights and love them, change the look of the van immensely. However I’ve noticed a light on the floor which I don’t think shouldn’t be there. Any ideas?

Hi
Complete newbie to the world of T6, i have changed the headlights and fitted aftermarket lights, also installed LED bulbs, when i switch them on the dash light for lamp failure pops up. Just wondering if anyone has the coding solution to get rid of this? The lamps are osram led driving plus. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd try byte 16 ---> VCDS codes list
