Heater outlet quandary

It is for 60mm ducting.
What on earth made you use undersized ducting on yours? Air Top 2000 heaters are 60mm or 75mm outets so it isn't surprising that you had problems.rtfm[1].gif

60mm should have been OK on that unless you built in too many resistance points with sharp bends and connectors.

Hi, how do I seal the hole under the driver seat we’re the diesel heater duct passes through the chassis. 8exter mount) Do I use silkaflex? Or do I use something heat resistant?

Actually used heater all night instead of just instant heating but even with pdf couldn't work out how to reduce heat setting so it ticked over. Controller is simple square unit not remote start one. In settings sensor is to 'T panel', but wouldn't drop below 26 degrees.

I have just been through the thread again but still cannot work out what make and model heater and controller you have fitted to make sense of your post.

I don't know which heater and modulator you have but I always bight the bullet and buy Eberspacher. My current one (and its predecessor) have had 801 modulators with the external temperature sensor connected.
Just set the temperature that you want and enjoy. Yes I know the cost and that there there is a 4 degree over shoot so if you set it at 16 degrees it won't shut down until the temperature reaches 20 degrees. I understand that this is to ensure that the heater runs up to heating completely before shutting down but it does shut down completely at setting plus 4 degrees until the temperature drops below the setting again.
If we are going away when the temperature is expected to be low we switch the heater on when we leave home and don't switch it off again until we return so it all works just the same as our home central heating system!
