Hi I'm Solow Suspension, here to help.

Just want to throw my few cents in here. I'm on SoLow Low so down 105mm and love the ride quality and how it looks. I too have a T28, albeit a T5.1. Mine too is a fully loaded camper but I found the rear Solow springs a little too soft and didn't like having to have the adjusters at full height just to get the back level with the front which is nearly at full height. My solution was to use a pair of Eibach Comfort Lows -60mm springs with just using the collar and no rings (adjuster delete in a way). As it is now it's perfect, ride quality is excellent and for my needs and wheel/tyre set up I dont need or want to go any lower.

There are 2 other solow kits which will give you a higher ride without spacers etc, but good that you've found a solution

Yes but I'm not in the market for a new Solow kit ! I'm not sure what you mean by 'spacers' though, mine now at the rear is just a basic shock and spring set up with the bare collar and thin rubber washer acting as the upper spring seat.

Thanks Ben, yeh that helps , I’m not looking to go that low , as yours. But maybe at 1” above wheels, I was thinking the springs might be the key!
Nice van!

Sorry, I read it as you had spacers, not collar. And agree you are not in the market for a new kit I was just saying there are kits available where you wouldnt need to modify your existing kit. cheers

Ben is on Lows, SOLOW also have NSL and Nextgen variants which give a wide array of drop levels before you get to the low territory. Thanks

Looking for some advice on the rear springs I have. They appear to be very compressed. I have a full camper kit in the van T28. The springs are Eibach. The first 2 pictures are on the rear right underneath the kitchen and cupboard pod section. 1000019774.jpg1000019773.jpg1000019772.jpg1000019770.jpg

I’m no expert on suspension, but there are a number of experts on here so hopefully someone will be along to help you with this. Those springs are definitely coil bound because of the extra weight of your camper conversion. Maybe a stronger spring would do the trick…. standard T32 rear springs for example?

@CRS Performance
@The Van Cave
@Dav-Tec

That doesn't look good, coil bound. Are they the correct springs? How long have you had them,?
They were for the T28, not sure if I should have went up a grade for the weight of the campervan.

Think they have been on about a year and a half. Got them as part of a coil over kit.

Quick question, if it’s a T30 van loaded up, surely a T30 camper can’t be any heavier?
Hi, I agree, however I mean a camper is heavy all of the time, a loaded up van is heavy some of the time (notwithstanding some vans are loaded all of the time). Not sure what suspension the OP has but perhaps it's springs only which can't cope with the constant weight. In one photo the spring looks cracked but hard to see from photo. We tend to use full coilover kits designed for the.application and never had a problem of springbound. Thanks

It's the VW Transporter T6 Twin-Adjust-Projekt Sensitiv+Plus Coilover Kit for T28, I'm thinking I should have uprated the rear springs to T30 possibly as it was for a camper conversion.

I posted this a while back in this thread how I overcame a similar issue

I've been running Solow NSL's since the start of March when they first came out. They were fitted by Chris @ The Van Cave.

I can't fault them at all. The ride quality is really good and equally as good as the B14 Komforts that I had on before.

Hope that helps anyone who is thinking of buying them.

how do you find the ride height does it catch in any car parks or anything? I've just brought a T6 with coilovers and unsure how low to take it :)
