Not quite a T6 but back in 2007 Scottie Johnson had a similar looking Astro, I've still got a single RE MX18 hidden in the loft that should fit in the back...

We are supplying and fitting the ETONS, sound deadening to door panel, inner regulator panel and door card as shown. Sound diffuser behind the speaker also. a nice upgrade.:thumbsup:

I have the standard media composition head unit in my T6 and want to upgrade the head unit with a decent speaker upgrade.

I am undecided on which head unit to go for Alpine X802D-U or the Kenwood DNX9180DABS.
Are any of these plug and play so I can keep the original operations.
Which would you recommend for the T6.

For my speakers I was thinking of changing the front speakers and adding tweeters, would this improve my sound system, and again what would you recommend, I don't need it to loud just a good improvement.
I am past the age of banging music out my windows.

Cheers mate,

I am in contact with him now and going to travel down there for a few days and have an upgrade fitted

Just fitted the Eton speakers - Really pleased with them :) Handy fitting video on youtube as well which made it all a lot easier. Good price on amazon.de if anyone is looking for a set...

Having upgraded the radio in my T6 van to a pioneer F80DAB, I would like to upgrade my speakers the people who will be doing it have suggested JL audio, what do you good people think ?

Hi, plenty of good speakers out there, depends if you want plug and play, amps, budget etc. Without amps we typically use dedicated speakers from the head unit by ETON. Make sure you fully sound dead the door and door cards to optimise the sound quality.

Rgds

Drop us a pm or call us on 01980 624740 and il go through all the options with you

You definitely need to change the door speakers...

We high;y recommend the Rainbow 8.2 8" door woofers and tweeters for the pillars...

Use our CNC wooden collars and sound deaden the inner door skins and door plastics, will make the biggest difference...

I advise you not to bother just changing tweeters and rears...

Hi there, any owners upgraded to these speakers and what’s the general opinion? Anyone know what the cost to change to this set up would be? The sound quality in my HiLine is awful!

Unfortunately Rainbow is no longer...

Eton T6 speaker kit is very good, and we now do a Audison AP8 & AP1 setup with a compact amp and they really sing

Hi I am interested in doing the same thing . Can I ask what head unit and speakers did you go for
Thanks

Jason @Absolut5 put in the Kenwood DNX-9190DABS, sound deadened the doors, and replaced the door speakers for me. Previously had the non satnav head unit so the addition of Sat Nav, wireless car play - now the sound quality is loads better + volume is awesome !

He also added a dashcam and rear view camera - both viewable through the Kenwood head unit. It was my first time dealing with them and as everyone else has said previously they give top quality service !

That is what I want and maybe an amp and subwoofer. What sort of money are we looking at for what you got?
Cheers

I'm sure this has been done a million times over but can't seem to find any up to date answers.

I have a 2017 factory kombi.. I'm looking for some front speaker replacements, and then to install some rears. I'm not looking for anything too dramatic or expensive, just want to improve the dismal sound quality over factory. I'm sound deadening and insulating over the next few weeks and swapping/adding some speakers seems a logical step.

Couple of questions:

- I see that people generally recommend mdf mounts to replace the plastic, I guess the size of the mount ring should match whatever speaker I want to buy?
- Does thickness become an issue? ie should I be limiting the size of the speaker based on thickness/clearances for the door card (I'd like them hidden behind the door card)?
- Same for tweeters, presumably there is limited space inside the pillar?

Finally, any recommendation for speakers? I see that rainbow 8.2 are a popular choice but they don't seem to available any more... Do any of the rainbow 6" speakers fit neatly and sound ok?

Totally agree with this - I’d look at Etons too. Massive improvement over stock...but don’t sound overstated like some audio mods can. Had Etons fitted a few weeks back, and in my mind, this is what the stock speakers should have always sounded like in the level of vehicle that we have. But hey! Nice to get it sounding right in the end. I would also wholeheartedly recommend Jason @Absolut5 - he fitted mine and has done a great job. If you’re wanting to fit you’re own, I’m sure he would supply and give you tips for fitting too. Enjoy!
