ID Buzz Cargo MTB weekend van dreams

As my T6 is getting old, higher mileage and the costly bills that go with it. I'm starting to get the horn for a shiny ID Buzz, all kitted out for weekend MTB adventures. I had a play on the configurator today and see they do the cargo in a 350hp 4 motion version. I doubt I'll own one any time soon but wanted to indulge my dreams. How would it cope off grid with fridge and heating etc. Where might I see pics of other people's setups / forum...

My next door but one neighbour has just got the van version and nice as it is (I quite like electric vehicles) the cargo area is noticeably less capacious than your current steed, chiming in at 1.9 M3 less than the smallest 6.1 (SWB, low roof.)

That's 3.9 M3 for the Buzz Cargo, 5.8 M3 for the smallest 6.1, almost exactly a third smaller by volume.

If you're looking to overnight inside with a bike and kit its going to be tight as a gnats chuff. There are undoubtedly better options out there, unless you really get a hard-on for the retro styling.

Does the Buzz come with V2L bi-directional charging ?
According to some early previews it has V2G. I haven’t found enough retail on the VW site to find what it actually has, and if it has an inverter as an option . I do like the idea of the LWB Buzz GTX as a mtbwagon, although as my T6.1 is only 2 years old it will be a while yet.

I don't think I'd be happy using the car battery for powering fridge etc - charging just for normal driving is bad enough let alone adding the extra power for camping.

I think the V2L etc, you can set a minimum battery charge level to prevent leaving you short.....
It's interesting that Dacia's little EV van has this V2L facility. I've heard BMW's new EV range will have it. I've also read that the Buzz has it but needs activating remotely (fee charged?)
Living in a very remote area, prone to power cuts, it would prove very useful to hook the car up to the house electrics (V2H) to run things for a few hours until power restored

Apparently you can run your house off V2H for a weekend - it’s a big battery. I’d like to imagine the 4Motion van would be out eventually in LWB, as the 7 seater car didn’t come out till later.

.....I read somewhere recently that V2H could be part of Ed Millibund and the Govt strategy for solar and wind storage as we head towards net zero. There is apparently no way the infrastructure will catch up before any deadline unless we use these solutions
