Internal or External Front Screen Cover - Insulated Or Not

Spook
We’re did you get the decals from on the bottom of the doors etc

Andy

Are these external windscreen thermal covers as good as they say, and do the wind deflectors obstruct fitting? Cheers.

Vanshades external thermal blackout cover, awesome. No issues with wind deflectors.

We have a silver screens one bit expensive but works 100% , so quick and easy to use and no problem with the wind defectors.

Silver screens for us, 39 degrees in south of France cool in the van, easy to fit easy to clean. Plus Velcro front so it can be pulled down during the day if you wish.

Right out of left field Loz. Know we were talking windscreens covers but digging the wheels. Van looks like it does serious undercover covert ops

Silver Screens for me - made a huge difference to the comfort of the van on cold nights. A really surprising large difference.

I recently bought a cover from Silver Screens and am very impressed with it. Made an enormous difference in the recent very cold weather.
I also have a thermal wrap for my pop top made by Rainbow Screens. Again I would recommend it.
Hi, how easy is it to fit the thermal pop top?
Phil

Hi all , a quick question I will be going away in the van a little bit over the summer and need to get some insulated screen covers , do you recommend an external one piece or the individual sucker type for each window ? Any links to tried and tested ones would be great , thanks

Vanshades for me.. external all the way.. could be doing with sucker marks all over window.. falling down,, corners bending etc etc disadvantage is it will get wet.. but nothing that won't dry in-stitute or hang up for a bit

Another vote for Rainbow screens, can be personalised as well to your design if required. We are currently awaiting delivery of a pop top cover from them as well, they have approx a 6 week lead time at the minute.

We have an external “blindfold” that covers the windscreen & side windows. Good for blackout but offers little in the way of insulation. We bought a front set of Just Kampers internal insulated blinds for our recent skiing trip, they worked very well & we were impressed. We have a set of home made insulation for the poptop, rear side windows & tailgate. They are the mk1 version & cost us about £40 to make. We also have a Reimo Climacover that goes on the outside of the poptop for extreme weather.
This lot offers flexibility & allows us to adapt to the weather. If we’re in stealth mode, we just put the internal blinds in & leave the roof down. We’ve bedded down in some interesting places in stealth mode
