Tried these pages last night @Absolut5 - still greyed out.

You mentioned the handbrake being on and possibly standby mode - can you expand cos stuff mentioned in the manual doesn't work. Ta.

Did you try putting your phone in airplane mode?

I’ll try and find the post on fb. Someone was asking the same question and a poster said it’s greyed our when your phone is connected so put it in airplane mode and it should be ungreyed.

Surprised! Went out to van with phone completely off and it worked! How’s that?

Which loom did you use, @Absolut5 everything else works from the steering wheel apart from answer and end calls, also the speech button

CarPlay, any setting at all, volume, track forward and backwards etc all ok

just no function to answer calls, or hang up

No aftermarket can control the phone book,

Somebody on fb said you have to put your phone in airplane mode to access it. Haven’t got one to try it though.

Thank you! This worked for me. Was greyed out on a DNX9190DABS until I switched to airplane mode.
