Insurance on a rst at 18 must of been sky highMy RS's were always standard as I couldn't afford the insurance increase that went with the power increase. Had my series 2 Escort as my second car at the age of 18, and my Cosworth at 22.
Here is the Saph - team Magenta.

Not as bad as I thought it was going to be m8@andythom188, £1260 fully comp with 1 years NCB. Not quite as bad as the Cossie, which was £1500 on a guaranteed valuation with RS owners club insurance, can't remember what company it was with. Had to have it inspected and valued by one of the club bods - and was then limited to 6k miles per year.
So you paid nearly £5k for a rst I paid that for my escos in 2003 it's mad how car prices go up use to pick rst up for £1k not so long ago ,even bought a series 1 from Gloucester for £300 off Rs owners classified sectionAbout a 1/4 of the price of the car.
It was 1994 and I'm sure it was about £4.5k. Wish I could pick up an Escort Cos for that nowadays. So you paid nearly £5k for a rst I paid that for my escos in 2003 it's mad how car prices go up use to pick rst up for £1k not so long ago ,even bought a series 1 from Gloucester for £300 off Rs owners classified section
