Kombi Insurance

I got onto Brentacre today.
With 4 years NBC, 15,000 miles pa with a mixture of business pleasure and commuting it came out at around £460. I think that's pretty competitive.
(204ps kombi highline ,45 years old, me, not the van)

guys I have a new t6 t32 204 ps comming this week and no matter what insurnace company I go through they cannot find the spec on the van. It is due to be registered this week. Anyone recomend something to me? All online quotes dont specify this model and if they do it is not clear ie shows as transporter highline 20, 2016 onwards... the 4 is always missing.
Also perhapse someone can advise if im cheaper to put it as a conversion ( most insurnace seem to say you can do that and give a period to convert it). any hlpe is great. have had some silly quotes, 13yrs NCB on one vehicle 4 on a motorbike yet quotes in ecsess of 800. its like being 17 again.

Give Brentacre a go on the phone. They gave me a great quote which hey had to do partially on paper because of the new spec of the van.

free insurance to drive away from vw first to get home..
than go online with Directline insurance..
my T6 caravelle was £275 i think

Rang direct line to change my insurance from my transit to my new lwb highline kombi 150 in oryx white and been told that they can't offer me cover as it has pearlescent paint and they only cover up to metallic
If anyone has had issues please let me know how you got on
Wonder how many VW s out there thinking oryx is metallic

Mines covered with LV as pearl no prob and duly repaired when tea leafs tried to force entry and failed.....

I am with VW insurance for £700 with only £100 excess. I have been with them for all my cars and after long winded moaning conversations when they initially quoted me £900 and £350 excess I managed to get it down. That's based on 10,000 miles per year and fully comp etc.

My 180 kombi is with A-plan, on a modified van policy. As I declared its mods (wheels, suspension etc) they put it on a modified policy and told me to just call them and inform them when I make further changes (which won't incur any further costs). I pay about £450 fully comp, and that is business insurance (as the wife is self employed - and they even do the business class for the 2nd driver). Look them up, their modified van office is based in Thatcham, Berkshire.

I have virtually the same as you @DaveyB with A-plan also includes brand new combi to spec if total loss or stolen.

When I did the 5 day insurance from vw ,even they didn't have a 204 kombi listed .
They insured mine as a180 and put notes on the system .
I am now with Aviva and the same with them no 204 on the list ,there underwriters said to do it as 180 ,same again notes on the system .
I will ring in a few weeks and see if they have any update.

Got my renewal today!....very disappointed! A-plan £645........no legal or breakdown included.....and I'm so clean, I squeak when I walk.......come to think of it, I don't walk......I hover (only joking by the way), I live in a nice area. Limited to 8000 miles pa.......no business miles. Double what I paid on my T5. Time to hit the phone me thinks!

Goodness me. That worries me for 9 months time when mine needs renewing, as A-plan were by far the most competitive.

TBH......I was shocked......like I said, I'm gonna hit the phone next week!!!!!

Try Aviva ,I got a quote of £448 including business use ,I told them I had downloaded the Aviva app and got 8.7 out of 10 which gave me I think 28% discount so got it for £334 .
Download the app and drive 200 steady miles and get the discount.
