Hi guys sorry just noticed this.
I did send
@Ayjay a PM but just in case anyone else is interested in a review on these:
I don’t feel the fit is particularly great to be honest - I’ll drop a couple of pictures in after this so you can see what I mean.
After trashing my hands & fingers pulling on them to get them as tight as I possibly can, I’m still not 100% happy with them. They’re pretty loose in some areas. And after driving over 100 miles yesterday I wouldn’t say they’re particularly comfortable either sadly. Maybe they’ll break in a bit over the next week or two, if they do & my view changes, I’ll update it here.
That said, they’re probably exactly the level of quality that they should be for this area of the spectrum in seat covers/skins of this kind. £200 on seat covers is pretty expensive in my mind, but in a market where the next level up from these are double the cost & the proper job is a full Retrim circa £1500, maybe I’m expecting too much…I need to remind myself that I’m in a work van & these are likely to be ruined in one way or another within a year, so spending more than this on such a thing doesn’t really make sense for me anyway.
It’s worth noting that the customer service at Leather Inn has been great, with assistance via videos & also offering help over the phone & also a refund if I decide to take them up on it. They have lots of happy customers & this review isn't a reflection on those guys at all.
If you’re after seat covers that’ll do the job, look okay (ish) wont break the bank & have the VW logo stitching - I think you’ll be hard pressed to find better for £200.
If like me, you’re a fussy bugger & after retrim levels of aesthetics & comfort in a seat cover, you may want to consider spending a bit more as these might not cut it for you.
