LED Sportline Sidebars

LED bars have been withdrawn from the shop and are no longer available.
VW will only supply these now if you own a Sportline and can prove it !

So far it's LED bars and carbon fibre mirror covers not sure about front but they have already been copied so won't matter, rear spoilers are still available

F'ing VW got to love them, what a bunch of jam rolls. Got to wonder about their business model. What genius walked into the board room and said "I've got this really good idea, let's stop selling loads of accessories and limit it to just a certain few owners, so we sell less".

I think the idea is that no one will buy sport lines as it would be cheaper to buy a 204 and put all the bits on it

Carbon mirror caps are easy done with a trip to the wrappers and im sure its no problem to fit to LED lights onto the sidebars, both cheaper to do probably.

There is one set of carbon mirrors in stock but had a good look at them and there are no markings on them so easily replicated by a carbon company

My Stealer agreed to provide a set as part of a 'goodwill' gesture. After saying yes, there was a debate over whether they could be supply only, and then that turned into whether they could be supplied at all - fitting instructions weren't clear / ready, blah blah blah.

They reluctantly ordered them and shipped them at the end of Feb, along with Grille LEDs (Since been fitted by Absolut5).

The Gille LEDs were definitely a 'kit' for non-Stealer fitting. The side bars were just the parts.

VW CV UK is a very strange beast. They must be smoking some pretty strong gear on some days - 'lets sell sportline parts' next day 'let's not sell sportline parts'.

Doesn't make any sense, just opens things up to 3rd Parties making the parts, and then making the profit and not VW.

I was told they should never have been released and as soon as they realised their mistake (last weekend) they stopped taking orders for Sportline parts without proof of ownership
