Nowt wrong with a bit of lego. I've got quite a few sets Liebherr 9800, Delorian BTTF car, Classic Land Rover 90, Optimus Prime to name a few. I did pick up the new Batman Bat Cave set last month, not started it yet. I find it very therapeutic and calming. Expensive, meh, you don't have to buy big sets. Thinking of it as a kids toy it does seem expensive. Sets aimed at adults offer hours and hours of ME time. Brilliant for rainy days when i cant get outside to work on a project. I know some people who sniff and smoke away more money a month

Does anyone modify these kits? Having built the splitty, I thought is would look better as a crew cab pickup, slammed with a serious amount of negative camber. It's since being broken up and turned into many other things. I stupidly never took a photo of it.

I'm not quite sure how these kits sit with me tho'. As a boy, my Dad came home with a big cardboard box full of secondhand bricks. All shapes and sizes. I built all sorts. The things that I remember most were the stadiums that my Subbuteo pitch got laid out in. Do kids still do this?
