Looking at buying a T6.1

Well I’m glad I found this forum, just put in on Autoebid. Local VW garage around £4K more than their prices!!! Looks like I can afford an auto after all :)
Nice one Laura.. I bought mine through autoebid. A pleasant and easy enough transaction but i didn't rate the after sales service much.

What others have done is asked their dealer to match the autoebid quote.. some will and some won't.. but something to consider

I spent a lot of time testing out the various vw vans. I have a fleet of vans for my business and I put a fair bit of effort into getting a decent setup, with resale value in mind at the end.

I also drive a van myself, which I take even longer to “get right”.

150bhp just feels the right choice for a keeper - mpg is good compared to our other vito’s etc
DSG - now standard on all our new vans. You won’t go back to manual.
LED lights - excellent at night/fog
Heated seats - I have had practically every marque of car/van - those in my Kombi are up there with the very best I have ever come across.
Infotainment / satnav - Achilles heel of vw - clunky / postcode issues - apple car play works better

For a long term keeper, I would say spend a little more at the outset and go DSG.

regards,

Do you know what the option "manual DPF regeneration while parked" is?

I wondered if l needed that £500 option, if the van does a lot of local journeys
