Looking at buying a T6.1

Thank you for the information, l will try the dealers you suggested for a quote.
l can't afford the second row seats option so the front bench seat will be useful for an extra passenger.
l've deleted the satnav from my build. LED headlamps would be nice but they are another big money option.
TBH the standard lights are going to be better than my Defender, and l've managed with those for 70,000 miles.

Anything over £30,000 l've got to borrow so l have to be careful as l will also be paying off the bounce back loan that kept me afloat last year, for the next five years.

ldeally l need to keep it to £35,000 or less (including VAT as l am not VAT registered)

There is a website in which you can put your build spec in and it sends it to all the dealers and then gives you the best quote.
From memory it is called autoebid. There may be other sites that also do this.

Yep, AutoeBid is the one and worth using as it will give a sense of the sort of discounts available. Just be warned that whilst they will be with VWdealers, some are selling beyond their allocation.

AutoeBid will always tell you the stock 16-18 or 16-20 week lead time, but the reality will depend on which dealer it is offering the best price and whether they have build allocation left.

Auto is the way forward for sure, if you can afford DSG I would say it’s an absolute must - driving is so much more relaxing especially in traffic.
I would never go back to a manual gearbox after years of driving’s SUVs and sporty cars - personal opinion obvs
£36,000 OTR
£40k OTR for the following:

150 DSG SWB Kombi in Pure Grey with the following add ons:

LED front and rear lights
Rear Camera
Power Latching
Cab Carpet
Heated Seats
2+1 Rear Seats

Nice van!

However
l can't afford £40,000

Manual is fine with me, l've never had a problem driving the Land Rover and my previous vans (Kangoo and Transit Connect) a total of around 250,000 miles in the last 20 years.

The other issue is, if the total price exceeds £40,000 you are liable for a whopping £2,500 first years road tax.

My dealer said that the £40,000 threshold is retail price and they are not allowed to base it on a discounted price (for instance as in, a £42,000 van discounted to £38,000)

We are happy to quote and advise on a new specification. We supply both new and used vans.

The road tax 1st year hike only applies to cars not vans, and is based in the higher emissions band, over 255g/km as well as the higher vehicle value over £40k. Commercial vehicle tax is £300 for the first year including first reg fee

There is zero Uk stock at present and new orders are coming through for March next year, unless you can get an spec change. All the retail bonuses seemed to have dropped as well

Demand is so strong presently - I’ve never seen used prices so high.

Can you quote me for the specification l copied below?
Maybe send me a PM on here with it and then l will get in touch with you.
l can wait for delivery, if there's no other option.

Yep, always pays to shop around. Just make sure you also ask if the dealer has build allocation or not. If they don’t you could be waiting a very long time

on autoebid can you use px etc or are they just random people sending you a price,
im thinking about paying 33000 for a kombi with 80000 miles
