@twm_vanventures removing the leisure battery and installing a solar panel instead won’t work.
The solar panel charges the leisure battery. Without a leisure battery you could probably get a regulated 12v output from a panel but I’d imagine the amps at various times wouldn’t be enough to do much other than charge a phone.
I stand to be corrected though.

What's your MPG?

How many miles do you get out of a tank? Thar run to Bristol and back was over 700 miles to the tank, I haven't taken note of a normal tank recently though

Is it worth considering an engine re map? I was told it’s not advisable on a 5 gear engine as would do more harm than good

I had my cars remapped since 2004. the increased torque makes heavy things like our vans move faster and uphill feels strong and powerfull. to me is always worth the mapping. the 5 box is known to be a bit fragile, better read more about it here in the forum before mapping.
