Hello everybody, I have created a new thread to document the progress of my conversion.

Here is my new van :-

First thing I done was remove the bulkhead and removed all of the panels to give the van a good clean.

Next I installed my Blackvue dash cam to the front and rear windows.

I followed the wiring across the back from the B pillar, then ran it along the panel through the large opening to the hole in the centre of the window.

Next up I installed my new single passenger seat. Removing the old seat was easy, just a few bolts and within minutes the job was done.

The next job was to remove the side indicators and replace them with Dynamic LED side repeaters

And then install the Wind Deflectors

Next job I am thinking will be to have 2 side windows installed. Also maybe the rear quarter windows (still undecided).

Then I think I will move on to soundproofing and insulation.

Yes mate, I just caught up with your old thread. What a ball ache. Glad you’ve come out on top.

Shame you left the best colour team for that common colour, though ;)

@Ads_Essex haha thanks man, yeah it wasn't an easy choice to be honest. I held out for a few days to see if they could source a silver van but it wasn't to be. The only other options were a red van or a green van. Not keen on red or green so I went for the indium grey.

started the soundproofing and insulation over the weekend.

The sound deadening mats are from AutoMute and also using Dodo Thermo Liner and then Dodo Thermo Fleece.

Going to need new fingers after working with the sound deadening mats. Got at least 25 paper cuts. 8 on 1 finger  Future reference: Always wear gloves.

Almost finished the insulation, just got a few areas to fill in. Have not been able to be as active as I would like but I can start to get more done once the windows are installed. They should be in by this weekend.

I have a question regarding the insulation. Do you also insulate the wheel arches?

Was supposed to get my windows in today but will have to wait until next Saturday. After insulating the sides and roof then putting the bulk head back on it has definitely made a difference and much quieter in the front. Still need to do the floor but that will be done in the next few days. Marked out the battens ready to be cut tomorrow.

@James1000 yes I have put it back in temporarily until I get the side windows fitted next weekend. Then the rest of the bulk head will be grinded out and the flooring can be completed.

Firstly, apologies for the slow updates but been really busy lately and hardly had any time to work on the van.

I had my windows fitted a few weeks ago but the next day it was raining heavy and my sliding window was leaking in 2 separate places. The seal at the bottom which was a manufacturers issue and a leak from the top which was a fitting issue. I had the window replaced a few days later and now all is good.

12mm flooring is down ready for the next step. I stuck down the batons and then put a layer of insulation over the top before putting down the 12mm.

Need to sort the electrics, carpet lining and lay the altro floor. Just need to work out the best order to go about it.

I have also cut out the bulk head. Was worried at first in case I put a hole in the van but thankfully it all went to plan.
