Most luxurious campsite ?

Albeit as a caravan owner we've stayed at The Old Oaks near Glastonbury a couple of times (a week the first time then a fortnight the following year) and don't hesitate to second what Loz says. It's great and by far best we've stayed at. Part of the Tranquil Parks group (think it's like a posh parks association as opposed to being owned by same org) and are all of high standard.

The Old oaks 100% agree they even let 12 of us camp there on our Motorbikes as a group and not far to walk into town. or up the Torr. Highly recommend as they trusted us...

It's the Old Oaks for us too.
Been going there twice a year for last few years, great pitches, toilet blocks and impressive dog walk.
You can even order a carry-out each evening.
Great for visiting Wells and the beaches aren't too far away.
Booked in for September and really looking forward to it.

Another great site is Eye Kettleby Lakes near Melton Mowbray.
Once again great individual toilet/shower facilities, club house with a bar with breakfast and lunch menus.
Will be there end August and early September.

Nicholaston Farm on the Gower - you get your own bathroom with shower, loo and basin (you have to share it with other visitors obvs, but not at the same time - Mrs might get a little upset to see you coming out with the young blonde from the pitch next to yours!), instead of the usual shared amenities. Brilliant farm shop, empty beach, glorious sand dunes, great views. If you go there, tell them I recommended them.... and they'll look blankly at you....!! :fast rofl:

thanks for the recommendation i just looked there's a lot of sites in that area to

It was a few years ago but I stayed at Min-y-don at Harlech in North Wales, the shower block required the hotel plastic door keys to get in and it was like a hotel inside!

Karragreen Nr Salcombe was immaculate .
spotless toilets and washing block huge pitches with hook up
The Owners were friendly and organised the camp had wifi and a bakery delivery service ,short walk down to Hope Cove

Have to agree with all those saying Old Oaks. Beautiful site, large pitches, right under the Glastonbury Tor with views out across the Mendips. Staff are very friendly and there is a 'take-away' service every night.

Really nice cider maker just down the lane from them too!

Old Oaks is definitely worth a visit.

We'll be there in 2 weeks..

Really jealous!! We were there this time last month for a week.

We are hoping to head back down there after we pick the campervan up next month.

The only problem with it is, it is so popular it is hard to get a pitch sometimes, particularly if you have a fav spot.

Enjoy.

As already said Old Oaks and Eye Kettleby Lakes are both about as good as it gets. Go to both a lot. Off to EKL again weekend after next. Red Kite Touring Park (Lanidloes) is also very nice, not as luxurious facilities as the other two but the fabulous location more than makes up for it. All three are adult only btw.
