Yeah I think the same, as this Kombi is not a business vehicle but for 2 pensioners who have always wanted a VW Van and will be washing and waxing itmost weeks lolWhen T5's came out, we had two nearly identical vans, one with genuine mudflaps front and rear, and one without. Both vans would get equally dirty on the same journeys', and we came to the conclusion that they were of no real benefit.

Thanks Noods, we are going to give it a good tryNot jealous at all VWRobert well done for getting what you've always wanted, I have a friend who is in a very similar situation as you and he couldn't be more relaxed, I put it down to his new lifestyle of traveling around in the van, camping with his grandkids....just what he always wanted. Hope you guys really enjoy it and have a lot of good times in your van. Wish I could spend more leisure time in mine Good point about the m/flaps, I may well just leave them off...especially if they don't make much difference. Happy travels......
When I read some reviews about having to drill rear mudflaps I phoned VWVC and amended my order and cancelled the factory fit mudflaps. Seems a poor idea to drill painted finish bumper to meGlad I read this section....almost too late. Picked my Genuine VW mud flaps up today.....got back keen to fit and saw the drawings, saw a picture of a drill and was like whatttttttt.
Definitely not keen on drilling holes in the side or under for that matter, honestly thought a mud flap would be simple and pick up on existing screws and bolts.
Will be checking out the Veedub ones or even the Caddy if that can work...
