Mud Flaps for tailgate vans... recommendations??

I will post these pics up before I wash it as you can see the splash marks, I found these relatively easy to fit, but i did use an angled drill instead of taking the wheel off. Mine are the same as @Chrisfraser05. I had to drill additional holes but only in to the plastic splash guard and not the body work, you do use a couple of the existing holes from the splash guard.

P.s please don't criticise how dirty my mid life crisis looks I promise to clean her this morning;):rolleyes:20171111_085535.jpg 20171111_085636.jpg 20171111_085605.jpg

@Chrisfraser05 That's it put up a shiny photo of a nice clean van and make me feel worse:D:D I've got to go for extra polish now :eek: to keep up

How you finding those flaps Chris? I've had the same fitted to my van for a few weeks now. Although they are well moulded to fit the arches, I've found them just a little short to offer proper protection from road debris coming off the tyres and hitting the sill and back bumper. Thinking of buying some universal mud flaps and either adding them somehow to extend the drop of the these ones or maybe just replacing them altogether. It's a shame. Couple of inches would have made all the difference

I was going to order these as our roads around here at the moment are a mud bath with all the tractors coming off the fields. Anyone have any other alternatives that actually give full protection instead of half a job?

Regards

D

I totally agree, I for got to say in my original post that I think for £30, and not having to drill your bodywork, I thought they were value for money and do the job but need to be slightly bigger to prevent mess

I just fitted mine yesterday, first thing the missus said was "I was expecting something a bit bigger" cheeky!

I have the OEM Vanstyle ones as way of back up in case I change my mind and brave drilling the rear bumper.

I bought the genuine ones fro VW and I had to scratch my head a few times but eventually fitted them as per instructions and they seem to do the job well.

Apparently the VeeDub ones don’t fit a T6 with tailgate and I’ve just spoke to them and they arnt sourcing any, has anyone found a solution?
