Multiple DTC codes

Hi guys hope someone can help!! Whist driving home today the DSG went into neutral by itself!! Coil light came on , so coasted to a stop. Plugged it into my scanner, and it came up with a whole pile of fault codes, all of which were saying communication lost to various modules. Engine ECU, transmission , ECU, even the radio/speakers. Firstly I thought maybe the main ECU has thrown a fit!!
Anyway I cleared the codes and managed to get home with no issues.
Anyone with any ideas?? TIAIMG_8591.jpeg

I'm not smart enough to even attempt to diagnose your problem but I'd want to try to eliminate any easy and likely causes - I'd start by checking the main earth from battery to body for an intermittent earth failure, you could run a jump lead from the negative battery post to the body and see if the faults come back.

Hi mate, that was going to be my first check tomorrow. I remember a few years ago I had a BMW X5, the dash lit up like a Xmas tree one day, it cut out, a whole raft of codes. Turns out it was the main earth strap to the chassis. A common problem on a lot of vehicles!!
Thanks for your help, will keep you posted👍
