My van is old already!

yeah... my poor T6 is now parked in the road between a L200 and a Nissan Nivara. :(

My driveway is being done at the end of the month - can't wait!

I always wanted a Toyota Hilux when I was a kid. The same type as they tried to wreck on Top Gear. I had a strange upbringing

You've managed to make me laugh out load with reading that.......

Stick a private plate on it.... Nice T6 one quite a few on dvla site. Cheap!

Yeah seen a few but no letters mean anything to me. I think there was one with the wife's initials but I won't be doing that or she might think it's hers :D

I do Like T6 OXX as a plate as it looks nice and Ox was the nickname of the original Transporters 'Bulli'. What do you think?

Whilst on the subject of private plates I have some private plates that were brought me for my 30th from my mom and dad and are my initials VAW. Been on every vehicle I have owned in last 7 years. Just didn't want them on my T6 straight away. I am not a fan of private plates, but at some point over next couple of months I will put them on. I have had pressed plates done.

There are some VWC and 44 VWC plates left..
Mine is for VW Cali but it could also be VW Caravelle

I always wanted one too growing up because it was the closest I could find to The Fall Guys GMC.

Can someone explain private plates please - I thought that you never actually owned the plate - you just paid a fee to use it and if you chose not to put it on a registered vehicle then you could pay a holding fee of some description to keep it? Therefore you're not actually in a position to sell it? I seriously considered VW16 DUB for my van but missus thought it was a waste of money. Thanks.

You buy the plate for the advertised price and its yours, theres an £80 fee every time you transfer it, you can put it on retention (ie put it on paper and not use it) but it still costs £80 to transfer it onto or off of retention
Once you own it your are free to sell it on at any price you see fit as some people do by buying plates early and selling them on when popular, if you check DVLA you will see most popular T7 plates are already gone !
