Navis Twin 5 paint quality.

I have a habit of only finding negative reviews after buying something  … As silly as it sounds I did wonder if I could get a partial refund to cover having them refinished/repaired. They said as they were already discounted as part of Black Friday that wasn’t an option .
That’s BS. Did they offer a “Black Friday discount because the quality is shit” or a “Black Friday discount because they wanted to sell stuff”?!!

Time to go for a return and full refund ie you do not pay courier/carriage costs. The reason for refund is faulty product, not that you didn’t like them or changed your mind.

They might sharpen their pencil then, but be ready to send them back.

Merry Christmas!

Update for anyone interested.. We went back and forward via email for a while, not really getting anywhere, so I gave up and decided to just keep them.
They’re basically of the opinion that it is as good as the paintwork gets and it’s perfectly normal.
Offered for me to go for a rummage through their stock to see if I could find a set I was happy with, but with a 4 1/2 hour round trip not an option I fancied.
Also said I could return them for a full refund but at my expense. I was getting quotes around £100 so I’ve decided to just invest that into sorting the paintwork.
Overall very disappointed :( I feel the outcome would have been different if I had a lot of followers on instagram!

Merry Christmas @Lmuk17

It’s a poor show from Navis (THQ) and to compare their wheels with Rotiform!?

Could you not exchange the set you have (and are not happy with) for some Rotiform’s?

I didn’t ask about a different set, I just asked if they’d exchange for some with a better finish. They said they’d try and find some, if I sent mine back, but if they couldn’t they’d refund.
I know if I sent them back they’d just say they couldn’t find any better and give me a refund to get rid of me . Then I’d be £100 down with nothing..

I’m tempted to have a little “consumer protection” fun with these guys in the New Year….I just don’t like bullies!!!
Jeez wept! Just how many retired cops sat up with glee at that suggestion?!!!

Yeah! Where were you when you were “on the job” and I needed you?!! Bugger off to tidying the garage/garden or whatever is you do these days!!!!
Hey, that tea in the shed on my allotment doesn't drink itself you know!

One things for sure - the gun monkeys don't spend their day in W H Smith deciding what pen they're buying next.
Too many big words! Luckily the “V” stands for “vehicle” - the occupants have another moniker!

My father-in-law did his full term as a PC, including many years on traffic.
There were family rumours regarding his whereabouts, but…….

Anyway, back to @Lmuk17 and wheel paint finish. I think the main issue is that you’re ‘comfortable’ with the outcome?

I eventually ‘chickened out’ spraying my Devonports satin black to use as Winter wheels with AT tyres, for the ‘green laning’ I need to do.

I went to a local outfit with good reviews to get them powder coated.
They were presented to me in the dark.
Had a good look at them next day to find small lumps painted over and a section of balance weight adhesive also painted over on the rear.
Also, the wheel bolt seats and mounting faces hadn’t been masked and one wheel had no new balance weights.
Mounting faces had been roughly cleaned off with an angle grinder with a wire brush.

As they’re ‘only’ my old, original wheels, and gonna spend most of the Winter splattered with mud etc., I decided to sort bolt seats myself and get them professionally balanced. I also accidentally added some light scuffs whilst cleaning the bolt seats.
Hey Ho…
Each to their own, as they say.

I wouldn’t say I’m comfortable with the outcome, I just can’t be bothered to argue it anymore. I could have got a full refund at the cost of shipping them back but I like the wheels, I’d have to find another set I like if I returned them. If they’d have made it clear that ‘Black Friday discount’ actually meant ‘items we don’t feel like we can get away with selling at full price’, like their WhatsApp group, I’d have been fine with it.
