New Pressure-Washer needed

I ordered the Master P70 - X-Large Bundle. It came with patio cleaner. It's OK. Better than Karcher one as I trialled it as well but still not as effective as nozzle just!

Looking now prob equivalent to one below as it had the extending stabilisers out front and not all in one plastic..

AVA Master P80 X-Large Bundle.

My dad uses the floor cleaner attachment with the K7 for his patio... and there doesn't seem to be one of those supplied with the P60
Not quite all the attachments then.

Anyone got experience of the kranzel 1152TST? Are they worth the premium price? Then there’s the add ons, short triggers, snow cannons, different nozzles ….
Minefield !

I have one, bought maybe 5 or 6 years ago. It’s been excellent and faultless. I used to buy cheap ones and they would fail after couple of years. In my mind totally worth the premium, would 100% buy again although I suppose couple of more years still to go for break even.

As for the negatives:
  • It weighs a ton, easy to move around though due to the big wheels.
  • Accessories are expensive and not even always great. For example, I have their foam lance and it made decent foam only for 2 years. Imho adapters and accessories from other brands would be the way to go.
  • Needs a regular oil change

I dunno who I'm responding to here as this thread is quite varied so an honest review.

My Mum spent about £90 on a cheapo Karcher with patio head attatchment and foamer about 10 years ago. I 'borrowed it' about 9 years ago and have used it twice annually to do a large patio and driveway - well above it's recommended area usage in m2.

I used it monthly on both my cars in the summer months. It's still going strong and am really impressed with it. If you have the budget definitely go with any of the above but don't be put off a cheap and cheerful Karcher IMO. If you do get one, upgrade to a longer hose and an extender for the lance as stooping to jet a patio for an extended time can be murder on your back

For cleaning vehicles, I go off the basic rules of get it wet with standard pressure (bucket or hose) so as to loosen owt caked on. Blast it off with the jetter. foam it and gently sponge it from top down, jet off the suds and maybe repeat. separate sponge/soft brush for wheels. I used to use a chamois to dry it but have recently acquired a leaf blower so am pondering giving it a blow dry before any wax products.

The only concerns I have with using a jet washer are any vinyls/decals/wraps on vehicles can suffer...

Which magazine have this one as a Best Buy by a considerable margin.

These were my thoughts. I see people go for the short guns and quick change couplings which look useful

Never used foam so may be good to try

Did clay bar the other week with great results

I bought a £70 Aldi (Ferrex) pressure washer about 3 years ago to replace the even cheaper Aldi (Workzone) machine that had decided not to be a pressure washer any more after 4 years of use.
I bought a 20 metre hose from Direct Hoses so that the machine sits permanently in my big shed and I just turn the water and electric on and I'm ready to go.
I wash 5 cars at least once a week as well as ride on mowers and tractors, so it gets a fair bit of use, probably far more than it was ever designed for.
At that price I'm happy if they last 4 years, I hear of more expensive machines that don't last as long.

The Aldi / Lidl etc cheap pressure washers are in reality a throw away item. A case of getting what you pay for. My Stihl that I use at home is 17years old never broke down and going strong. My industrial Karcher Hot pressure washer at work is a similar age - although to be fair it is serviced by the local Karcher dealer annually.
Pressure washing, Stipes on the lawn and BBQs is a man thing

Yes, it's like T6's, we pay a premium over other vans because we don't want leaky side windows or engine problems........... Oh, hang on...

Honda self propelled with rear roller - a dream to use
BBQ - stainless steel fabricated by a friend over 20 years ago on a unistrut frame - still looks like new

It is certainly a thing but as someone once said these chores can be literally that chores! - somehow nice kit takes away some of the pain

Why oh why do I read these threads that then plants a seed that then cost me a fortune?

A New Kranzle k10/122 later with 15m hose, short gun, foamer and lances - what a great bit of kit but at a price!!

Wish I had brought one 20 years ago- instead of the three cheapos I have killed

Cant wait for rain to stop so I can use it
