I believe so. However, on T6 LEDs not all lamps are actually LEDs - not sure if they are the same on T6.1 LEDs
Anyways, I would start checking what the faults are... obviously at least the indicators

they will work fine but need a resistor on the indicator to stop the fast flash on the dashboard, some people have done it and posted pics if you have a search around

Great write up, thank you chaps. For clarity, T5.1 halogen tail lamps to T6 halogen will work without any coding of errors out?
Presumably, with incandescent bulbs, the modules dont know a difference and it's just a few pin swaps to make it all work?

Hi. I have the same set up and note only the lower part of the light illuminates when side lights are on, a t 6.1 is illuminated to the top section when side lights are on. Is this just how this is please.
I have done a lot of experiments with BCM, I managed to encode it so that the turn signals did not see the malfunction, but at the same time nothing was connected to BCM at all!
It looks like all the above are is packaged as a "throwaway" dongle.

I want to see if i can stop the double time turn signal. I've fitted t6 led tail lights. I've turned off the bulb monitoring, so i dont get that on the dash.What are you trying to achieve?

Not sure if the access codes (in the link) make any difference. Never seen T6 BCM asking for a one, or entering a code would have made any difference.
It is not possible to do this by coding! Resistance setting only
I was hoping some magical menu would appear like the 6.1 adaptation and I'd be able to tell the bcm i have led rears. But alas, like you said, it does nothing.
I find it odd that it isn't possible to do on a t6. Could it be instruments 17 related?
I've set all relevant options in bcm coding to let it know I've installed led tail lights. They flash at normal speed outside, just the instruments that double time.
I will probably go for the resistor option now. I was hoping i wouldn't have to take things appart again
The VW T6 has never had LED turn indicators installed!

Ahhh. Of course, i forgot i fitted the led bulbs. Its just the side lights that are led.
I must stop letting weeks pass between sessions of van fettling. My memory is terrible.
