When mine cracks I'll just weld it back together ( provided all the pieces are there and I can find the correct plastic rod for the plastic ).
***Posted this on an existing night heater thread but probably best on here.. Policies for duplication***
Could I ask if you know the part number of the attached picture. The red circled area on mine has cracked and split and I'm looking to replace.
On all the diagrams on the ones I've seen it's slightly unclear whether it's a left or right hand drive and therefore what orientation the the van parts are laid out in (I think?!). For reference I'm sure it is this part pictured which is essentially on the nearside of the van under the side door.
TPS were reasonably helpful but I know the under carriage can vary slightly from model to model so they wouldn't commit to which part I actually need unless I have a part number set against the reg.
Hope this all makes sense!!
Yeah I have been looking for the part number and even had it up on the ramp so I'm guessing it's cracked off?!As Ads_Essex said, there should be a part number moulded in the plastic on it.
Is it correct that there's several variations of this cover hence different codes even though they are essentially the same thing and have the same/similar function?Assuming that’s not yours (if they are then you’re looking for a part number starting with a ‘7’ followed by a letter and then six or so numbers, such as 7E0 825 208 A), these may help -

Looking undervan and underway where diesel heater is smashed anyone know part number or where to source one as fitting diesel heater next weekendwww.t6forum.com
Deep!Don’t worry about other people‘s vans. Just get your damaged part off, read the part number, and buy a new one from VW. Post the details here afterwards please

Can you recommend where to buy online. I have just cracked the front passenger piece that covers the adblue tank on a t6.1..I definitely agree with AussieMick. I've taken this off to do an oil change and to replace the transmission oil. The first thing that I noticed was how well it had shielded everything from all the usual gunk that manages to get plastered to the underside. Some of the components looked almost new. You can buy a replacement tray on the Internet for less than £60.
