One Piece Ceiling?...

I made mine from 6mm but if I did it again I'd go thinner. To hold the curved profile it needed fasteners across the width and while you may be able to pop it into shape with 4mm I think you'd risk it panting and slapping the roof constantly.
Admittedly some vans have it glued to the roof which I guess would work.
I was very tempted to just buy a kit but I managed to make the whole lot including lights and trim for £100.
Thanks mate I’ll go for the thinner option with some fasteners

@Warren3105 I used Plyworx for mine in the last van. There was only fasteners around the edges. The curvature and tension in the ply held it firm with no panting/slapping the roof.

Hi all,

I have a LWB T6 Kombi. It has been carpeted by a previous owner ove the OEM hardboard (badly) so i will be redoing it over 3.6 mm ply. This is the normal ply size i find it 2440x1220mm, which is not big enough for the rearmost panel.

Anyone know of any timber suppliers who do larger sheets. I have sen Custom Shop designs roof kit but it is £100 when a regulatr panel is £20.

Plyworx single cover trim now comes in 3 pieces so I don’t think it will look as good

We do one piece ply ceilings, ply kits, Halo roofs, sub enclosures etc. get in touch if you need furtherdetails. Thanks Ian
