I have found 2 vans but different specifications.Found this review about MAN vans (they are actually VW crafters!)
MAN TGE van review
I love power but the 177 has no air con. This is my big dilemmaI’m not that familiar with ACC. But I’d go for power.
I reckon you could easily buy/ knock up a seat mounted “tabletop” that fits on the squab.
I have to go used and it has to be blue so the choice is limited. So if it was you would you go 177 ACC but no air con or 140 with air con and standard cc?.I'm currently looking for something a little bigger ( for work), and i can quite categorically say , i have a lot more bargaining power than when i did with my t6 . They are pushing the crafter to the point where i cant refuse. I personally love the crafter (t6 on steroids ) .
I've driven a 2018 crafter and the decision wasn't based on pace. It was based on what it could carry, and is it going to be reliable. The answer to both was yes, and i struggle to find another van compatible to it. I agree what you say with the power but the question was wether to take the air con or power. My opinion was the air con.Have you driven them ?
My old shape crafter is a 177 mapped to 200 and still wont pull the skin off a rice pud.
I have driven loads of 4m load length Sprinters and Lt`s but my Crafter is sh*t. No guts at all.
I would take my 153 Lt back any time over it
Totally agree. Didn't realise until it was mentioned what you could do without, and realised i use my air con every day.I would want ACC and aircon, but I could live without ACC and definitely couldn't live without aircon.
Whats the payload ? The payload on my t32 is more than my Crafter.I've driven a 2018 crafter and the decision wasn't based on pace. Pay load isn’t a problem as like I say it’s more around the doors as I am a plumer and we do bathroom fitting to.Whats the payload ? The payload on my t32 is more than my Crafter.
If its anything like my Crafter, I would go for power over air con, or just keep looking for both
I have decided that air con is a must so was just about to say yes the another one pops up. It’s on a 18 plate instead of a 67 but only 3 months newer but it has 6000 miles instead of 11500 don’t really know if that makes a big difference but sounds better to me and it’s the same price. Only thing is no parkin censers . They can retro fit them but they won’t be the same as won’t have parking pilot ? £500+vat. Can I get them fitted to show up on the head unit?.Can you wrap a van to make it blue? I would go for aircon over all else. New pug boxer an alternative...
Thank you. I have just been stitched up by the dealer. I was going to go a van when I realised that another branch had the 18 plate up for£21500 + vat and they would also ply it. I decided that that was a better deal but the branch I was using had been nice so I asked if they could transfer the van to themselves and I would buy it from them as like I say they had done all the work on finance etc. They told me they couldn’t as because I had spoken to the other branch it was unethical to go behind his back.Almost certainly yes to retro fit of factory parking sensors. Do not go to the dealer, use a specialist like HazyDayz who know what they are doing.
