NF (insert local capital letter here) was an abbreviation regularly used by Drs to describe patients who looked as though they should have complex chromosomal abnormalities but didn’t thus avoiding others doing expensive and wasteful diagnostic tests.
i.e. Normal For Norfolk

That reminds me of a something my brother told me when he was doing his medical training. He ask what F O S meant on a patient’s notes on the chart hung on the end of the bed to be told it meant constipated.

@T6ARF awesome thanks checking them out

Back to the metal plate thing, from September number plates will be made of a more durable material to be less susceptible to bending, breaking, discolouring and delamination. It's said to make them more readable by ANPR cameras.

Have seen EAN 1 ok if you are an Ian, Jimmy Tarbuck had COM1C. I believe his manager bought it for Jimmy's Roller in the 60's. I bought the wife a birthday present bang on, surname PYM initials PH, so plate reads P11PYM, small dot, which I have never done as I don't want to give Plod any reason for a pull. Billy Connolly tells the tale of a Los Angeles car Brit owned with Bollocks as the plate.

Just search online, enter anything you like in the search boxes, doesn’t have to be a registration number.
