Thanks for doing this @Dellmassive , it's really helpful to see them side by side and also having those builders' buckets to give an indication of scale. I'd been thinking of going for the larger size (in stainless) but I now think the regular size is big enough for our needs.

Fire/Heat resistant paint recommended before use on the mild steel ones. I used BBQ paint available from most DIY stores

OK, so as mentioned I have developed some bespoke, made to measure bags for these.
These are nearly ready to go (just so fine tuning to be done) SO am posting to see what interest there would be in these - two sizes available to fit the different Pit sizes

I’d be interested in what you come up with for the larger pit! I haven’t ordered it yet -only because I haven’t finalised the designs I’d like on it! I like the VW over the flames and the pop-top - so that’s two sides! Just need to work out the other two sides!!!

these will be made in the UK with a durable Cotton Canvas (which i'm hoping will have a heat treatment)

i'm also hoping to offer these personalised (matching Pit/Bag logos anyone!)
- will have a better idea on this once i have pricing details though.

but enough of the words, they'll look a little something like this:

note: opening is an up and over zipper, there's a full width front pocket and the webbing straps are big enough to go over the shoulder - should you have your hands full with other bits on your way down to the beach/park

Just a point perhaps worth mentioning, these individual panels are both heavy and have very sharp corners especially where the slots are cut. We used a strong plastic bag and the bottom was ripped within days so please consider some strengthening along the bottom in the corners.
