Phillips H4 LED bulbs, any T6 reviews?

Hello there. I used the Philips h4 led light bulb. It is worse than the halogen bulbs and also the failure light. I bought an adapter for this, but this time the light bulb is falling well. because the bulbs are set to 60 watts. If you fix the lamp bulb is less illuminated.
ı think, h7 upgrade is better philips led

Were they genuine Phillips bulbs or ones that claim to have Phillips LEDs? I've seen a lot of fakes on the web.

You can turn off the bulb failure light in VCDS. Doesn't help the issue of rubbish visibility though!

See many previous threads on these. They should be as good as the H7s, possibly slightly better, but they’re not LED headlights.

Well after 8 months with running the Philips racing vision to improve "VISION" over heating must've happened and caused the damage to both sides

Would anyone have any ideas what would’ve caused the damage ?? It’s both sides and it’s exactlty in line with the bulb ??

I’ve now set a case up with Philips who are looking into it ...no idea what they’ll do

A dirty lens could increase heat build up. Is the silver shroud at the end of the bulb still intact - if you've scratched some of that coating off during fitment it will direct light straight forward rather than off the reflector.

I have a set of t6 headlights for sale if your interested? Have replaced mine with led units. Will take £200 including postage....

I’ll have a look when I take them out as Philips have requested I email photos of them .

Hi kingcrow ,I take it you’ve replaced the headlight because you had the H4’s ?
In all honesty if I need to replace I’d upgrade away from H4’s cheers anyway

Can anyone explain to me the purpose of the "cover"/"deflector"/"shroud" that is in front of the bulb inside the headlight? You can see it clearly on the right photo that was posted by Brae a few posts up.

I am thinking of removing it as the beam pattern and light from a H4 cant get worse...
