Like me, not tight - value orientated.Just realised my 2 favourite places on earth, Northumberland and France are still mostly free parking. I balk at paying for parking, I really do. I'm not tight though I assure you
I've always got 20 of pound coins and a tenners worth of 50p's in the van just in caseSainsburys car park next to a hospital near me; 2 quid for 2 hours unless you use the parking app in which case the same 2 hours cost 7 quid - nothing on the meter to show this difference - such a rip off for the younger generation who dont carry cash whereas us older folk always have a few quid in the glove box
I’ve no idea the last time I paid for parking in a private car park that doesn’t have exit barriers. Screw them.Sainsburys car park next to a hospital near me; 2 quid for 2 hours unless you use the parking app in which case the same 2 hours cost 7 quid - nothing on the meter to show this difference - such a rip off for the younger generation who dont carry cash whereas us older folk always have a few quid in the glove box
Still is cash only! Again lots of people struggling at the machine, counting their coins.chap who owns the carpark is a multi millionare, the last time (and only time) i was there a couple of years ago it was cash only too
We’re NT members and have been for 40+ years. The ‘free’ parking is a bonus. Especially as we only need to scan our membership card and not find cash.It seems to be the norm now expensive parking at nice places
Studland bay NT car parks £8 4 hrs all day £12
North Norfolk Council run £1.80 per hour not bad for short stay do the maths for 8 hours
Brancaster in Norfolk £5 2 hours £11 all day
Kent coast £1.80 PH
£1.80 pH seems cheap but not if you make a day of it
We're national trust members so you get free parking in their car parks the only reason we joined Park up in NT car park and enjoy a day of walking
Same , we get our moneys worth in parking before we take adavantage of the fantastic places to visit , well worth the money .We’re NT members and have been for 40+ years. The ‘free’ parking is a bonus. Especially as we only need to scan our membership card and not find cash.
Yes, but if the parking was free at least I would find a reason to enjoy it! I really need to go now to see what dull and soulless is...Polperro is an odd theme park , I found it a lost village dull and soulless
I remember those days but unfortunately no longer the case. £1.90 per hour by the harbour, and not a dissimilar amount if you're in the top car park.Ours is classed a 'motor caravan' and we regularly used to park in the large motorhome destinated spaces at Lyme regis .
Used to cost £2 for 24hrs .
We would go in for coffee and croissants before work and then go back after shift for a pint, a pasty and a walk on the beach all on the same ticket
Bet you can't do that now
