Pop top, bed removal

Hi,
What's the solution for removing the pop top wooden bed board? I'd like to take it out as we don't use it. What's the best way to tidy up the look of the pop top material?
Thanks.

Depending on type of bed, Lift up bed, prop or hold up. Remove gas struts. Drop down. Unscrew bed and remove.
Best way to tidy up canvas is to leave the bed in place. Think weve only ever had one van were the customer did not want the bed. 6 months later they were back asking for bed to be fitted to hide canvas. Go figure.
Cheers

I found the Reimo bed board needs some careful adjustment to prevent squeaks when driving, I never thought I’d be setting up a bed with feeler gauges.
A Reimo roof comes fully lined but the canvas is never going to be hidden on any roof as @Eclipse Campers says above, so for me it’s a no go.
We found that having the pop top up with the bed board down when sleeping down below in the winter with a heater gives the right temperature / ventilation / noise balance.

I might have misunderstood the above but my initial reaction was 'yes it is'. I made a 'hatch cover' out of a piece of spruce board covered in the same grey 4 way stretch material as the rest of the van (inc. the bed board) and it simply slides back out of the way when you want to raise the pop top. It might be my imagination but there seems to be less wind noise with it in place and, crucially, it hides the scruffy bunched up roof canvas left exposed by the bed board being shorter that the pop top. I thought the question was regarding the bed board being removed, this would expose the canvas?

DXX, you're correct.
If the top bed board is not considered a must have in terms of safety, then I'm happy to have a think about how to tidy up the fabric.
If you're 6-2", sitting on the RIB rear seat means your head is just rubbing on the roof.
Also, it's a lot of weight to drive around if it's never put to use.
