You may want to check if the pins for folding mirrors are present on circuit board for your existing J386 & J387 door modules, as generally speaking vans built with no folding mirrors do not have the pins in place on the door modules. top of my head I think it is pins 12,14 and 15 drivers side, please check wiring diagram to be sure.
It be interesting to know weather your MY18 van with Q modules have the pins in place and what software revision they are on as this may help to see if its cost effective.

@T5.1 auto what wiring diagram? I'm going on process of elimination just now as no access to wiring diagrams. I will try to get software versions tomorrow, but not sure I will be able to get door panel off too as I have a full on day. Now you have mentioned the pins I will check this before I buy the mirrors. If any confirmation on the pins can be given that would be much appreciated. Cheers!

You can access wiring diagrams in the downloads area
Photo below shows plug removed from door module look into the socket where plug came from and see if the pins are there for the correct terminals for folding mirrors.
This vehicle did not have folding mirrors from factory and the circuit board where this plug came from did not have the pins in questions

I'm sure I had one customer in a wile back with a T6 that had non fold mirrors , so he said he upgraded them to auto fold, with this kit from travelite.

Not sure why the T6 kit would have to be genuine mirrors as opposed to the aftermarket ones as I've seen both and there is no significant difference.
My technician connected his VCDS today, but was not sure where to read the software version of the door modules so I'm going to have to wait for someone who knows what they are doing.

No, he was in a rush. I saw him try to connect to door electrics etc, but it failed so a waste of time really. I will now have to wait until I can find someone else. I have electrical knowledge albeit a little out of date and I'm sure I can get them to fold/unfold off the remote, but without the correct door module, my problem will be getting them to fold/unfold normally via the switch.
