Very similar to what I had the first time round. I suspected it was an airlock at the time, but it was too late - the poor pump installation has killed the pump (hence the swarf).

Hi. did you remove air conditioner compressor? to get more room?
Yes, cable tied it out the way, and the pump came out over the front of the subframe. Taking off the hoses at the reservoir helps too.
So update time!!
The steering us now working as it should.
Advice: Don't use non genuine ps pipes even if they look to be the same etc... I had one made and matched to my original one by a local hydrolic company. On inspection I found big chunks of swarf within the pipe and this could have been what killed my original pump. I mean getting rid of swarf on pipe work is pretty standard stuff and I am shocked they left it in this state. Anyhow, it's all sorted now and back to how it should be.

No not yet but I will be for sure! Can't imagine the damage they could cause to really expensive machinery given the quality of this pipe.
Can I get one of these filters to use with my 1.9 T5 or are they model specific? I'm thinking it might be a good idea as I'm in the middle of replacing my rack and pump.
