Interestingly check out the markings on the rear shocks, made by KW - we have asked for the official line on these. The springs are different and the van seemed to sit lower then the recent STX(pics of that van coming tomorrow), although California’s are very heavy. We think the stance looks spot on and coupled with the ARbs will transform it.

Reports back from the customer are very positive so far, but I’m sure @howiedog will let you know himself what he thinks. Due to time constraints we didn’t get more than a quick road test ourselves, but initial feedback is good and they are very compliant - we do have another kit coming for one of our vans, so we can spend more time on it.

I've been speaking to both KW and Eibach this week. KW make the shocks for Eibach, they are similar to V1’s, but they are specifically valved and set up for them, with their own springs

Hi looking at dropping mine 30 - 40mm with just springs, was looking at the Eibachs from vw but also seen these for sale, at £189 they are cheaper and say they are kW St but also say Eibachs? Can you shed any light on that?? Thanks

To be fair I’ve not come across these. Am happy to get a price if they are what you are after, see if I can beat that price for you?

OK thanks, I was looking for Eibach lowering springs actually but came across these, how much can you supply Eibachs for a t30 16 plate? Thanks

CA666326-3E08-4660-8ABA-11AABD21399B.jpeg So we’ve just fitted a set of eibach coilovers to a t6.1 4Motion T30 199 DSG, and I’ve actually managed to get some miles in it myself over familiar roads. We are running them approx 10mm off the bottom on the back and plenty of adjustment left on the front.
They really are very smooth, and very soft. Both myself and my senior technician, Paul, commented that ARBs, when available for the 6.1, will make this an almost perfect setup. They run firm but very compliant. Wheels are 20” Velare 8.5/10 x 20 with a 265/40 which although not the perfect T30 size they are perfect for the wheel sizes.

Its a shame they don’t go lower at the back, but as we’ve mentioned before with the STX coilovers we are sure we could get it lower.

We have another set going on this week for another customer so will be able to report back more.
A great upgrade but another jump up in money from the excellent B14’s, but you do get more for your money.

Our KWV3s have arrived for our demo, but with the current climate we are holding off on that and concentrating on customer builds presently.

The customer is a previous B14 customer so will be able to give a good comparison with miles on the road. He is on 20” x 9” alloys running 265/40 tyres at 36psi all round. He runs with a bit of weight a lot of the time, so we’ve left the back higher for him, it’s approximately 20mm off the lowest setting.

@BognorMotors

And what’s the verdict on the SoLows? I bet it rides better than the B14s. I’m aware the T32 kit gives the best lows of any kit on the market

Unfortunately I've been isolating for 14 days so haven't driven it, which is a shame, but Paul my senior tech said it was very smooth. However we had to remove the inner front arch liner to stop the rub which isn't ideal, but the customer is going to 18's, so we will refit, and then he wants it lower. Its a well put together kit, and if you want a static low, this is the one. Tyres are 245/45/20 as in the picture. We can't see that any correctly weight rated tyre will work on a 19 or 20" wheel without rubbing though, so bare this in mind.

Looking good! What's the drop range on the solows? And which indicator lights are those?

Minimum lowering is 95mm. Sorry can't advise on the indicator lights, we didn't supply

If the customer swaps from 20,s to 18,s does the circumference still not same on the tyre

Going from his current size, which is quite tall, to a 255/45/18 , he will save 43mm in overall height, so 21.5mm from centre to the edge, which will be more than enough to give clearance.

If you look on the slow website you can see the gallery of different tyre sizes, the bamboo green van looks awesome IMHO.
