Price of diesel in your area?

I filled up at a SuperU in Tranche-sur-Mer in the Vendee to come home, that was @ EUR 1.92 = £1.64 (Still horrendous, but better than home)

I Paid £2.12 for Shell V-power diesel for the way down as the van was getting a good 300 Mile run

Tesco in Garforth (Leeds), diesel 197.9 per litre.

Compared to when we filled up in France, at £165 per litre.

Just paid €1.94 at an Intermache just south of Annecy today.

We just had an offer of 85p per litre for heating oil. That's come down over 20p in the last month. We haven't got space for the min 500 litre delivery, but it has to be a sign of things getting better.

Just got to find a way to make the van run on it now!

I used to have the use of a company car in the 90's. I only got a 40l per week fuel allowance, so the rest of the time I ran it on heating oil. This was before the days of high pressure injectors, egr's, dpf's and adblue tho'. I also only had the cars for 6 months before they were replaced, so had no idea what happened to them once they were moved on.

Nice that prices are starting to reduce but still a long way to go, if we even get back to £1.20/litre.

Apparently oil companies and oil producing nations made $3bn profit per day for the last 50 years - I appreciate oil goes into other things, not just fuel, but they could give a little back now. After all they’re extracting a product from the earth and it’s damaging side effects affect us all.

Filled up @189.9p today, a few places locally still at 198.9 but most 195ish round here. Not empty so still haven’t broken the £100 fill up mark :D

Next fill up will be en france so hope they are on the way down too!

Almost tempted to drive around the country in search of cheaper diesel... I've just paid £1.96/l which is the cheapest I have seen for weeks!

I think @dubber36 made a good call for the cheapest diesel in post #365 (182.9 per litre).

I have this feeling that the fuel companies will have realised that the fuel sales have not dropped in the slightest due to the price it is now and we are willing to pay. Therefore will keep the prices as they are even if the price of crude drops again, if we keep buying at that price why reduce it?

Saw £1.89.7 yesterday at Morrissons in Woking. Petrol they were selling at £1.79.9

re the rip off garages, if people ARE short of money, shouldn't they just drive past?
