It’ll be interesting to know the part numbers! Someone mentioned to me that the turbo is the same turbo as the 150 on the t6 just with a different part number. This would obviously need to be confirmed prior to considering any tuning but ultimately this would suggest you’d be able to remap to at least 150 safely. Just comes down to knowing if it’s the same part!

They don't use different part numbers for the same unit @T28dov no one does that as it leads to complications in production.

Maybe it's the same housing with different internals, if so that's not a big issue? Someone clever on here must know?

I guess that makes sense, I’m just going on what someone told me. I think it’s going to take either someone inside VW to give us some guidance or a mechanic!

This isn’t necessarily a VW problem though is it! They didn’t design any of their engines to be fiddled with!

Had my 102 euro6 t6 mapped by pendle 6 months after getting it..

Done 21k miles with no issues at all ,
Also been back into vw twice for servicing and a couple of warrenty issues.
They never even mentioned about it being remapped

Find this very odd as we have been told for years that the 84 102 and 150 are all exactly the same except for the map ?

I'd always thought that the 84 and 102 were the same but that the 150 and 204 were different

204 has bi turbo set up the other 3 are single turbo
Yes I knew that the 180/204 were twin turbo but I thought the 150 and those were slightly different in some way from the two lower powered ones. Maybe it's just the gearbox

Hi all, I've just bought my t6, 65plate 5speed t28 102, I was thinking of getting it maped, is not worth doing, sorry to butt in newbe

AdBlue and Bluemotion are 2 different things. If you have to use AdBlue, then there is an extra filler cap beside the diesel filler cap. You are unlike to have this on a 65 reg T6.

Pete
