Will be interesting to see if Revo come up with a new package which includes a turbo upgrade.

I'm a bit confused now. Is the euro 6 102bhp carrying a turbo issue or is it down to the mapping?
I want to get mine mapped and not blown up.

I don't that is clear yet. One company say there is an issue, and the other says there isn't.

Hi James, REVO have experienced issues with a small percentage of the turbos in stock form (without a remap) so have decided to remove their software for the T6 102BHP EURO 6 engine to prevent any possible complications with warranty claims. That is not to say the turbo will fail, but they have seen some failures. They are offering a full refund to customers who want the software removed and reverted back to stock. Other companies are still providing a map for this vehicle as previously mentioned, but REVO have decided to remove theirs.

I hope this helps.

Regards

Ian

Thanks Ian.

Thanks Ian.
So how is that only revo have had a problem and no other tuning company? A quick search on groups like on Facebook found a few disgruntled revo tuned vans with blown turbos.
But not one from any other company. Also no mention of weak turbos.
I think maybe revo have been selling poor maps ? Would like to be shown otherwise.

I don't think the maps are poor, they are probably just running higher boost than the rest

I don’t think it’s that, if you look at other rolling road print outs it seems most have higher bhp than the revo stuff, but it’s also hard to find any print out for revo, it’s like they want to hide it.

I'm sure there's print outs on their website?

The only thing that could put more load on the turbo would be boost? When I looked for the 150 engine the torque was quite a bit higher than other companies which made me think they are working it harder?

If they are blowing turbos it will be the exhaust gas temperature that’s too high, oil doesn’t lubricant at high temps, bearings seize and things go bang.

Good point! Their maps could be running a lot of fueling?

Some data logging with different maps would be so useful!

Well, I cancelled my Revo remap and I'm booked in for a rolling road session at Pendle on Friday morning.
Let's see how it goes.
Oil & Filter change done yesterday in preparation.
Probably best idea. Never seen any issues with there tuning on these.

It is but I'm always cautious when I see a new member slating a company in his posts and rating another. Always seems suspicious

I agree Zombie
But like the poster points out the Internet is powerful, some times too powerful

Funny though a couple of bad feed backs and the world is doomed
