Ok yes this has been discussed a few time but couldn’t see the answer I require..

I’ve got a 2016 start line with stop start and my battery needs changing. I’ve got a couple of questions.

1st is can I buy a bigger battery to replace my old AGM one ie 95ah 850a Bosch
2nd is..does anyone know if the battery registration is up and running on carista yet..

If you have any recommendations on a good battery please put it forward..

If its a 2016 Euro 5 engine then NO. Carista does not support support battery registration for those models at the moment.

If it is, you should be OK. As above, the website says it does but I have found for Euro 5 based T6 (and subsequently confirmed by Carista) it doesn't support this variant.

Both come from the same factory.

You need to check this but I believe Bosch is 5 year warranty and Varta is 4 year.

Yeah correct Bosch is 5 years. So these battery’s do fit then and are ok..

It might be wise to check the physical dimensions of the proposed new battery as well (Ie. does it fit the available space).

Eu5s that don't have stop start, won't have the IBS sensor on the battery.....

so won't need coding in AFAIK.

i just dropped in a replacement on our T5 and T5.1.

mines a euro 6 I believe.

If you have to put in AdBlue, then it's Euro6.
If you don't, then it's Euro5.

I think all T6 Euro 5's do have stop/start (Bluemotion). Ours certainly does!

Sure.

Our (non blue motion) T5 my08 and T5.1 my11.

Never had stop start or the IBS on the battery.
