Rotiform STL

Thanks. According to the table above 265 is too wide for a 8.5" wheel. Did you find them ok?

Edit: I just realised the size was in the post above the pics. Doh!
I'm guessing this is due to load rating required for the T6. If you look on THQ or Wheelbase, you will see the 20" tyre options with a load rating of 101, 103 or 104 are either 265 or 275.

I run 245/45/20 all around. Cross Climate 2 SUV 103WXL

Seems strange THQ and other reputable companies would only offer tyre options with a width greater than recommended for a 8.5 inch wide wheel.

Can honestly say the 265 tyres dont look oversized for the STLs and they definitely don't underperform. The Navis Twin 5s I had last year came with a 275 tyre on a 9 inch wide wheel and they were also fine. Gives more rim protection if nothing else.

Maybe it’s that budget tyres are only available in the big sizes.

Bump on this.

If not, anyone got a good pic of how close the 235s are to the edge of the front arch?
I’ve been thinking about putting 255’s on the rears only (sort of a staggered setup) and keeping the fronts as 235’s, but I’m still not sure? I like the fact that when the fronts wear out and are ready for replacement I can bring the rears to the front and put new tyres on the rears.

255’s will sit perfectly well on the 9” wheel, but it just depends how low you are and how much the fronts will poke out…. each individual van seems to be different?

Anyway, here’s a picture of my setup….

Hmm they look almost flush from that angle, 255s will defo poke with another 10mm of tyre?

I'm about the same height and camber by the looks of it.

And yes I prefer the same width tyres all round too

took the plunge from 20s to 18s today - another quiet thread follower!

18”x9” ET30 on 235/55/18 Michelin cross climates. Bit of a challenge getting the tyres to seal on the beads - had to take them to a guy with a ‘cheater’.

For reference:
T28 Lowered ~50mm on H&R springs over Koni shocks with full camper build weight wise.
No spacers used

Excuse the tyre soap!

What Koni shocks you running?

Poeple running the STLs, what have you used to tidy up the bolt head, rather than having the scruffy blots themselves showing?

TIA
