Oh I see I am mainly oblivious to commercials, I just seem to day dream and usually do not know what they are on about. Unless my wife tells me and I the say I can not avoid it now so don’t tell me. It is quite odd but true but thank you for explaining
Lenny Henry owns a number of vans, and despite the sticker that says "no tools left in this van overnight" he leaves tools in the van overnight.
That's great thanks. I did not know that he owned vans either. Can not imagine what he uses them for with tools inside perhaps broadcasting equipment or acting kit. perhaps he fixes cars and washing machines for fun.
Whenever we’re on location and have to park at mainstream hotels (Premier / Holiday etc) we book our own security for the night and work it in to the budget.

makes sense though hence my point that the hotels are missing a trick IMO
Yeh pretty much.
We’ll meet them at a specific point / parking area and they just stay on point all night watching the vans etc.
Also on jobs in certain parts we’ll have tech parking with security there too.
Costs the production less to hire security per night / day then to have to pay a load of excesses when someone does in the vans / nicks kit.
slightly off topic but we have smartly dressed (bowler hats etc) security outside some of our jewellers there as an early warning and i guess deterrent to scooter gangs etc. speaking to the owners the cost was far outweighed by the reduction in insurance premiums
