yes thats what I have, door wont open with esternal handle but will if I reach through the passenger door and use the internal opener.

Wonder if you can refit the pin?

Yes you can that’s what I did with mine
I just pushes in and twists

This is what the pin that connects the door handle to the mechanism looks like when pushed in.
It hooks in behind that clip, but it can fall out easy if you drive over rough ground,

Hi all, I am new to the forum. My external handle to the sliding door is loose and cannot open the door from inside or outside. I just read the whole thread here but cannot find a solution to my problem. The pin described further up is in place. My issue is that the plastic part on the picture pointed by the red arrow has detached itself completely from the metal latch of the internal mechanism. I have tried to push it back in place by moving the metal part but of no avail. Anyone got some advice on this issue?

Also needs a spring to hold the tension shown here on the mounting bracket. That can drop out as the pin goes through it
