Solar PWM & MPPT Controllers - How I Done It -

Just been reading all the various settings on the Victron website... Mind blowing!
Please tell me most people use the pre defined rotary switch??
Most people use the app on the phone to connect to the mppt..

Then just choose the battery preset....

Super easy. Lithium, gel, AGM, etc.

You have one of the big boys, the 100/30 that has the rotary switch. But the app will override that.

The smaller units don't have the rotary switch.

Cheers @Dellmassive , hopefully get it all put in tomorrow and will test with my 120w panel for now.
Do you think the Renogy 200w panel is sturdy enough to connect to the cross bars on the roof while I'm parked?

I would assume that the suitcase style would be problematic putting on the roof, as they are heavy and hinged on the middle.

For they roof I would prefer the fold out slim line panels.

Or as I done, just use standard flexible panels on the roof, I use magnets to keep on place, to stop any wind getting them.

I had four 120w flexible panels on the roof last year at camperjam.....

The suitcase style are best for floor positioning.

So I finally got the time to add the MPPT.
Thanks to everyone that helped answer my questions. I didn't have enough room under the drivers seat so had rlto route the battery cables to the passenger base which was surprisingly easy.

Bit tight for space

Cables pulled though without a snag

Made myself a panel to fix it to and added a bit of carpeting..

Power connected and paired in the App

And tails all ready to connect to the PV leads

Ran out or time to get the panel from the loft to fully test, will do that over the weekend.

I only have a Starline 100ah sealed lead acid battery. Does this look correct? Screenshot_20240628-152833.png

Cheers
