Indeed, the lock is superb.I've got a STOPLOCK PRO
the stanndard one has a barrel lock wich is pants and easily picked.
i went for the PRO modle that has the better lock/key.

So good it'll still be attached to the section of steering wheel the tea leaf snips with croppers (if theyre stealthy) or grinder (if theyre in a hurry).
A cost effective and stealthy method of preventing attack via the OBD port - shift a few of the wires to different positions, and use an OBD plug and socket to make an "adapter" that you or your garage can use to correct the pinout when you want to plug in. Don't keep it in the vannfor obvious reasons.
If you go for a secondary immobiliser system make sure it has an anti hijack function - if it won't start with the code you give them they'll come back and chop off a finger until you tell them, but if theres a duress code they'll be a mile up the road before it cuts out.
And remember, as the OPs friend has discovered, it's all for nowt if the house in which the keys are stored has nothing more exciting than a Yale lock to protect it. A proper alarm (not Verisure or Simpli Safe nonsense), proper locks, sash jammers, hungry rottweilers...
