SWB internal bike rack solution

No not the sliding tray, just a fixed rail. I thought the sliding tray was a little pricey. I’ll probably end up making my own sliding tray using this rail at some point.

This is what I built for my SWB. Was the only option for me.

I have to swop the buddy seat out which is the only pain.

Firstly, thanks loads for posting this follow up! I originally thought there wasn't enough room to fit my Mullet YT Decoy Shred eBike into my new-to-me T6 if I went RnR bed. Didn't seem to be enough room to clear saddle. So seeing this has allowed me to re-evaluate my build.
Can I ask what bed you have there so I can compare the height to a RIB (which I have my eye on now)?
Also, did you consider putting your "fork board" across the seats in an upright position, so you don't have to put the bed down and cover the whole thing each time? Should think there would be enough room in the main area?
Cheers!

@Taylorm Thinking of buying this from Blokpods. Have you managed to get more in the van yet? Trying to get 3 bikes in my California with a rear bench seat....I think the block pods would be tight with 3 bikes....

@Bestie Camper check out my sliding mtb tray where I used the Blok pod mount and rail as part of that build I get 3 bikes in with no problem. If it tilted the single seat forward I’d probably get 4.

That is 2 x 26ers, and 20" and 16" islabikes

I followed some advice on another thread and put the bikes in upside down. They wouldn't go anywhere even without a rack, but I could use the seat to sandwich one or two bikes which others may not be able to.

Wanted a solution to my short wheel base (with rear kombi seats 2+1 seats and extra long ebikes.

Ended up with this, bit of a faf removing wheels but hey ho

what make are those wheel holders?
and what actually holds the wheel in place to them as the axle will already be in use for the fork I take it?

Hi all
Just came across this thread after buying a van last week. I have a swb t6 with rear seats added. Got fed up of putting my bike on the roof of my Passat estate so finally took the plunge.
Yesterday I used the van for it’s intended use. See picture 1, so much easier but I wanted a better solution. I’ve been looking at the bike stow stand which has great reviews. After chatting, a friend of a friend told me they had the 2 bike version and that I could try it. I know with the rear seats it wouldn’t work but my plan was to see if I folded the seats forward would it work. And it did, see the following pictures taken. This is my next purchase once I have some funds.
Yes I lose the rear bench but I’ll ever only need to carry 2 - 3 bikes with riders anyway
Hope this is helpful to others

Interesting, could you take a photo from the sliding door inwards please to get a side angle of the rack. This is a SWB.
