Hi all

I paid a visit to @Nutexa Frictions today to collect a full set of discs and pads.
The current set of Brembo are ALL warped, they feel like Pringles when they get hot!

I’ll be fitting them tomorrow, from memory, one of my dust seals was looking a little worse for ware.
So they will need refreshing soon (after the Easter caravan holiday)
Has anyone rebuilt their callipers?
Is there a guide!

I’ve done it many times before on bikes and cars

No different from any other caliper tbh. Took my new ones apart to paint them properly so effectively rebuilt. Get the pistons out with air and use the vids on youtube for the knack for refitting the seals - dead easy.

Bigg Red do kits for repair, used them before when I had the 308 brakes

I Was just about to edit the first post to ask for any known rebuild kits, does Big Red have a website?

I used Bigg Red and Frentech when I was rebuilding some Brembo calipers. Autodoc is good too if you’re not in a hurry.

Thanks guys

On closer inspection, the dust caps aren’t that bad.
They will be done soon anyway.

If that split is all the way through be worth doing sooner rather than later. You don't want the caliper bore to be scored. Probably worth doing the pistons at the same time seeing as you'll be removing them (or most of the way out) to do the seals, they look quite manky - or is that copper grease? If copper grease don't use it next time, get some ceramic grease far far better for a bunch of reasons

Yeah it’s all the way through, they’ll be getting a full clean and service in a couple of weeks.

They’ll be getting the works done, and I’ll make stainless pistons and bleed screw too, the steel ones terrify me
