Hello All
I have just upgraded my trusty vw t4 syncro to a t6! I've been doing alot of reading on this forum but keep going around in circles!
The t4 is raised and had some AT tyres on and I want to do the same on my new t32. Its a 2017 LWB 4 motion which was lowered but I've had the standard springs put back to bring it back to a better height. Question is what wheel and tyre combo to go for. I've loved rolling around in the T4 with a much larger than standard tyres as the ride is much better ( I had 215/75 x 15 tyres on this)
The T6 currently has davenport alloys on and id be happy to keep these or swap them out for some standard 16" steels that i matt black. Tyres wise I've been considering the General grabber AT3. at 225 / 65 x 17. (108T) but unsure on how this will affect me speedo wise. I mostly do motorway miles with the odd bit of dirt tracks and muddy fields so dont want the BFG as i think they are too full on!
Is it worth swapping to a 16"s? i seem to be able to find more rated tyres in 17" ? Also i read something about the DSG gearbox and bigger tyres?
Be great to hear peoples opinions
many thanks
